- we aren't starving. there isn't a Depression at the moment; although we had the biggest Crash since 1929, job loss not seen since the 1930's
- the 'powers-that-be' are concentrated on growing indivdual wealth (esp. for themselves and their kronies)
- we still have a liberal capitalist banking/industrial system --- or is that a conservative capitalist military/industrial system?
